How much does an estate sale cost?

C & G's standard commission is 40% of gross sales — 35% for larger estates and 45% for smaller estates, or a minimum fee — and cleanouts are quoted separately in advance. Your exact rate is confirmed in writing at your free consultation, before any contract — with no hidden fees. See Our Rates.

How long does the process take?

Most sales run about two to four weeks from consultation to broom-clean, depending on the size of the property and your dates. Sale days themselves are typically two to three days. See How It Works.

What happens to unsold items?

Your choice: keep them, donate them (including to Sisters Helping Sisters in Need Inc programs via our donate-the-remainder option), or have us arrange donation and haul-away. The home is left broom-clean either way.

Can you run a sale in a gated community or HOA?

Yes. We coordinate with HOA and gate staff in advance, manage buyer entry and parking, and offer online or hybrid formats where community rules restrict public sale days — common in Clermont's 55+ communities and Errol Estate.

Do you sell horses?

No. C & G Equestrian & Farm sells house contents, tack, trailers, and farm equipment. Live horses are never sold or handled — we refer owners to equine specialists for placements.

Do you buy estates outright?

In some situations a direct purchase or partial buyout may be an option worth discussing. There are no promises in advance — bring it up at your free consultation and we will talk through honestly whether it fits your property.

What areas do you serve?

Apopka (headquarters), Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, Winter Garden, Ocoee, and Sorrento. Outside that area? Ask — equestrian dispersals are considered across Central Florida.

What is home watch, and who does the work?

Home watch is scheduled visits to an unoccupied home — with photo reports — plus pool/lawn oversight, storm checks, and meeting vendors. Through C & G Home Services, work is delivered by vetted partner businesses and coordinated by C & G: one call, one invoice.

Do I need to clean or sort before you come?

No — please don't throw anything away before the consultation. Items families assume are worthless often sell, and sorting is part of what we do.

Don't spend another weekend sorting a house alone.

Book a free walk-through today. The consultation is free, unhurried, and comes with a written rate quote — no obligation. Se habla español.
